सालाना 12.75 लाख रुपये की इनकम पर कोई टैक्स नहीं चुकाना होगा, लेकिन कब से मिलेगा लाभ?
नई दिल्ली। नई टैक्स रिजीम में धारा 87A के तहत मिलने वाली टैक्स छूट शॉर्ट टर्म कैपिटल गेन (STCG) जैसी स्पेशल इनकम पर लागू नहीं होती। इसलिए, भले ही आपकी सैलरी इनकम 12.75 लाख रुपये से कम हो, आपकी STCG पर धारा 87A के तहत टैक्स छूट का कोई लाभ नहीं मिलेगा और उस पर लागू स्पेशल रेट के हिसाब से टैक्स लगेगा।
धारा 87A टैक्स छूट के नियम में इस बदलाव की घोषणा वित्त मंत्री ने बजट 2025 में की थी और यह वित्त वर्ष 2025-26 की शुरुआत से लागू है।
समझ लीजिए STCG में क्या-क्या
STCG 24 महीने (या लिस्टेड इक्विटी शेयरों और इक्विटी-ओरिएंटेड म्यूचुअल फंड्स के लिए 12 महीने) से कम समय के लिए रखी गई कैपिटल एसेट्स को बेचने से मिले प्रॉफिट को कहते हैं। इन एसेट्स में शेयर, गोल्ड, डेट म्यूचुअल फंड, बॉन्ड और अन्य चल संपत्तियां (Movable Properties) शामिल हैं।
सैलरी पाने वाले टैक्सपेयर्स को धारा 87A के तहत टैक्स छूट कब मिलती है?
नई टैक्स रिजीम – नई टैक्स रिजीम के तहत 12 लाख रुपये तक की टैक्सेबल इनकम वाले रेसिडेंशियल लोगों के लिए छूट बढ़ाकर 60,000 रुपये कर दी गई है। लेकिन स्पेशल रेट (111ए के तहत एसटीसीजी, 112 के तहत एलटीसीजी) के तहत आने वाली टैक्सेबल इनकम धारा 87ए के तहत छूट के लिए एलिजिबल नहीं होगी। यह छूट केवल 12 लाख रुपये तक की स्लैब-रेट इनकम पर लागू होती है।
ओल्ड टैक्स रिजीम – पुरानी टैक्स रिजीम के तहत टैक्स छूट वित्त वर्ष 2024-25 के समान ही होगी। यानी 5 लाख रुपये तक की कुल टैक्सेइनबल इनकम (एसटीसीजी समेत) पर 12,500 रुपये।
75 हजार रु की स्टैंडर्ड डिडक्शन का फायदा
टैक्स का बोझ कम करने के लिए, फाइनेंस एक्स, 2025 ने धारा 87A के तहत टैक्स छूट को बढ़ा दिया गया है, जिससे टैक्स-फ्री लिमिट 7 लाख रुपये से बढ़कर 12 लाख रुपये हो गई है। नतीजे, 12 लाख रुपये तक की आय पर टैक्स लायबिलिटी शून्य हो गई है।
75,000 रुपये की स्टैंडर्ड डिडक्शन का भी दावा किया जा सकता है। इससे कुल टैक्स फ्री इनकम 12.75 लाख रु हो जाती है।
